SAD news about OOMPA......

our friend, oompa, has passed away.

just recieved the news a couple of hours ago, and have almost no details.

it happened today or yesterday, he took his own life.

Sorry to bump this post but Oompas past posts made an impression with me, some made me laugh and some made me bleed. I read another past poster that also commited suiside and i wish i could remember his name, it was like reading Oompas posts.

When i left the watchtower i was angry, but reading of the suffering and misery it causes,i am glad i left, because i realize its not me thats wrong....I never realized how evil the W.T is and how pathetic ...blah blah blah..but Oompas terrible suffering and his bipola was not understood by members being a part of a controlling organization.

I wish it was possible for every one to leave and find a happy ending...but for many leaving does not mean as in the story of Job that they find a new family and greater children...for many that leave its terrible.

I wanted to walk away and not care, just leave and start again. But this site has shown me i was wrong that i have a responsibilty to always see those friends that shun me as still my friends.

St Gearge 80% of wealth is inherited. Its nice to leave a life times hard work to secure a better future for your loved ones. A home should be an investment and security..even a pension for old age. Always buy if possible never rent.

flying high ...yea i get your point about Sweden and high taxes...but the size of Sweden and the small population, taxes must be high to pay for the roads and for the maintenance of snow ect. I think in Sweden the elderly are well looked after because the country has no millitary and few people and i think it has little to do with high taxes, despite that being used by the government as a reason for high taxes.

I think living in England the problem was owning the empire and thus giving people from that empire the legal right to citizenship, compound that with all the people from lands that now have the right to live in the U.K and its over populated. This is not the case with Sweden. Sweden works because it only looks After 13 million swedes.

Going back to the original post " America is over rated" i have a friend who moved there. He was interested in American films and T.V . So he wrote a book on it. Did he make money? Mcfarland publishing he got nothing financially. But he had theself drive and determination to write that book. To write this book he made contact with Frank Price the ex head of universal. Frank said " why should i contribute you i have never heard of you and you never wrote a book before" ....Any way cut a long story short, Frank did help and gave the name and adresses of celebrities. My point the bogus America superficial dream of materlisam is over rated but America also allows people to have self drive and determination to have a dream and live it.

why was the ministry so much arguing over who our perception of god was?..

when we were witnessing we could thank jehover for the trinity...but now i think the trinity is what jehovers witnesses like to discuss as it avoids stops any talk on real understanding.....because our god is different and right we could always fall back on the trinity.. .

Ok back to the origional post " whats in your heart"? ...i think having left i dont feel so compelled to be right and you are wrong. If people from the congregation will accept me as i am i am happy, but i refuse to talk " the trinity" or anything religiouse with the elders or any member i have contact with.

Why? whats the point? in fact it would have bad consequences for me. But i do miss the " friendships" i had in the congregation.I think my origional topic heading " whats in your heart" meant i needed a support system when i left and i found it with the friends i made on the ministry, because they were there for me and most of them are not even religiouse...so i found " whats in there heart" and that was hmmmm i guess friendship and those friendships i made on the ministry mean a lot. And i think these people prefer my friendship when i dont talk my indoctrinated bullshit with them.

Its sad that my attitude to my ministry was so dependendent on how the message i deliverd was received. I am glad being lazy i spent 10 minutes talking indoctrination and 50 minutes being friends and talking music or films or football because although i always thought i was " better than those i met on the ministry" i made many great friends who had " trur friendship for me in there heart".

undoubtely the biggest crime in watchtower world is apostacy.

the upcoming dc apparently has quite some parts on this issue.. recently i read a book from the philosopher hubert schleichert, the title is something like "how to discuss with fundumantelist without loosing your mind".. he goes into fanatics of all kind, and shows, why apostates are so dangerous for any ideology, may it be religious or even political.. the reason: any strong ideology is convinced of possesing the truth.

this creates a problem, since apparantly not everybody accepts this belief or ideology.

Hi punk...i havnt read Crisis of Concience...it sounds interesting. In it you say R France says the governing body were deluded but sincere...yea sure,deluded with power and self importance, maybe, but thats not a reason for faith and exercising jugement on the whole world. So what Ray is saying is the G.B said is i can not exist and be sincere unless i think like them and allow there influence and ideas to teach me.Sorry dont buy it. How did God talk with these self important men? .....these men controlled a business empire and Ray thinks they were deluded but sincere...did Ray think they were sincere and saintly people who were meek and mild? punk if i spent a day with those people i am sure i would have seen they were unholy and evil..

he ranted on a load of old b0110cks about 'hell' and stuff.

Hence the reason my introductory post here was called " Shatterd Faith" yet the self assurance of many belivers is auch that there faith will never be shatterd. And so us this thread ends after 8 pages the belivers still go on hearing and talking with God and maybe when on my death bed i too will believe in God again...and maybe God will be real to me again. May be thats all the prove i need.

The above reason to believe is a very seriouse mattter because it proves my faith and believe in God is irational but i understand that some people need God and some people dont need God, that spiritual feelings are dependent on our culture and our need .That that need will exist for future generations despite any scientific prove.

So i think someday cultures that belived in God may keep the religiouse traditions but without a belief in God and still uphold tradition.But as long as tradition and religiouse culture exist God will exist for people and this is prove for a beliver.And as long as teachers like the witnesses search and seek out members to convert belivers will exist because they have been presented with prove that God exists. I mean thats how i became a witness they offerd prove.

So your question can " you prove God exists" is unanswerable because humuns are emotional and irational and what you require for prove is not emotional or irational. Sorry for the rumble but the question intriged me. I think even for us someday we may believe again..may be it will require desperation and real heartach,but should that day ever come it will be all the prove we need.Thanks for reading.

punk ..someday i will watch the Matrix...

Anyway God is dead for me...but not forgotten or why would i even bother reading and responding on this thread? Personally i think its impossible to go through life only looking at oneself and being only egotistic...we need more ...humunity is great but to complicated...And as for God i gave him my sincere best in the W. T ....now i realize i wont amount to much only by those who wont accept me as i am...and God is outside my understanding and sensibility but maybe a mystical experience will happen...maybe i will once again be able in my heart to prove God exists.

As for today i really hope not, not with out being dead ...then i will happily be proed wrong.

Actually with lethal injections on occassions a nurse has refused to put the needle in the vein and the execution has been suspended...but i get your point. Shame those writters dont question the damage there writting has done to people...yea the pen is mightier than the sword....
